Kara became STEP Operations Manager in June 2022, having previously worked on the programme as project manager in the procurement workstream. She has spent the majority of her career working in operational, change and project management roles in a mix of organisations including Elmbridge Borough Council, British Airways, Thames Water, Npower, HBOS, Aon and Network Rail, before joining UKAEA in May 2019. While at Thames Water, Kara was the Head of Change and Communications for their version of STEP (Strategic Transformation & Efficiency Programme).
